The West Essex Psychology Center is a contracted provider for the New Jersey Department of Child Protection and Permanency, the Office of Parental Representation, and the Office of the Law Guardian. WEPC provides comprehensive evaluations

Risk Assessments
The psychologists at WEPC take a structured professional judgement (SPJ) and research-informed approach to risk assessments. This methodology allows for a tailored and in-depth analysis of the individual’s current and future risk. WEPC provides the following types of risk assessments:

Independent Medical Evaluations
An Independent Medical Examination (IME) is conducted to offer an expert opinion regarding the cause(s) of a psychological injury and the individual’s current level of functioning. Since IME’s are often requested during the course of litigation, the validity of the patient’s injuries and presentation are also evaluated for the presence of malingering or exaggeration. WEPC provides IME’s for:

Criminal
The psychologists at the West Essex Psychology Center offer expert, in-depth, and objective assessments to answer psycho-legal questions. The evaluations can be performed in jails, prisons, hospitals, or attorney offices as needed. WEPC provides the following criminal assessments:
